Oldest tavern in Lallinger Winkel

One of the oldest and most majestic linden trees in Europe stands in Euschertsfurth – a small village in the Lallinger Winkel region. Age approx. 600 years: If old traditions are to be believed, a tavern and a linden tree already stood in Euschertsfurth around 1200. However, the oldest inn in the Deggendorf district is not documented until around 1242 – thus, the linden tree is likely at least 750 years old!
