Entrance on the right, exit on the left. Don't forget to pay the €1 fee. The view is worth it and the Swabian Alb Club is happy and can cover the running costs.

There's everything here. Hut with barbecue area and two large table sets not far from the Wackerstein viewing rock.

The round mountain is an elevation above the Maisen valley of Bad Urach, which forms a unit together with the Hohenurach, the Urach waterfall and the slide rocks. The round mountain tends to lead a shadowy existence - this may also be due to the fact that you don't have a view of the valley from the clearing on the mountain, which is a bit of a shame. Advantage: since the mountain is not climbed as much, it is not as crowded as the Hohenurach or the waterfall.

The environmental youth hostel Bad Urach is located below the ruins of Hohenurach Castle, on the way to the Urach waterfall, surrounded by forest and meadows. The youth hostel Bad Urach was reopened in October 2011 after extensive modernization and expansion and was certified as the second environmental youth hostel in Baden-Württemberg. The environmental youth hostels are based on a mission statement that aims to act in an environmentally friendly, socially responsible manner and to achieve sustainable development at all levels: -->efficient use of energy: As part of the modernization, the building technology was brought up to date and the entire building was renovated to improve energy efficiency. A thermal solar system on the roof and a condensing heating system were installed. -->Educational programs: We offer a wide range of programs in the spirit of education for sustainable development. -->Healthy nutrition: Around 30% of our products are organically grown.
