"Schleglerkasten" (Source: https://www.heimsheim.de) The events of September 14, 1395, resulted in the destruction of the town and, with it, the old Schlegler castle. Apart from the castle cellar (two vaulted cellars beneath the Graevenitz Castle) and a cross vault in what is now the library, nothing remains of this old castle. On undeveloped land next to it, the tower castle, affectionately known locally as the "Schleglerkasten," was built. Its construction dates back to around 1415 (dendrochronological analysis revealed that the oldest timbers were felled in 1413), when the Lords of Gemmingen bought half of the town from the Lords of Stein. After the fire, the latter were unable to rebuild the castle and the town.

Bad Teinach-Zavelstein is a town with 3,220 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2024) in the Calw district of Baden-Württemberg. The town belongs to the Northern Black Forest region. This health resort lies approximately five kilometers west of the district capital, Calw, and is, along with Bad Herrenalb, Bad Liebenzell, and Bad Wildbad, one of the four spa towns in the Calw district. Bad Teinach-Zavelstein is widely known for its crocus blossoms. In its upper section, Wiederholdstraße forms a serpentine footpath that repeatedly offers beautiful views of the city in the valley below. The best view, of course, is from the very top, at Schottstraße.

The waiting shelter dates back to 1925 and was used by the SSB.

Kochenmühle means roast beef mill. Widely known. 250g or 350g. Friday and Saturday only. Summer opening hours: Fri. 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM Sat., Sun., and public holidays 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM No card payments No table reservations (beer garden) possible. No draft beer, but a large selection of bottled beers. Dogs are not allowed in the Mühlenstube.

Flour was produced here until 1925. The old millstones are still there. The mill wheel continued to generate electricity until the war year of 1945, when the mill building and the mill wheel were severely damaged.

One of the few mills accessible by car via the "Alte Poststrasse" (Old Post Road). Parking is available. The mill boasts a lovely self-service beer garden.
