The Cathedral of Kraichgau.

Every year on the second Sunday in August, the Cheesecake Festival takes place here.

Beautifully decorated church. It is located directly in front of the main entrance to the castle park and is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

The town church was consecrated in 1612. The historic church building dates back to the existing St. Mary's Chapel, with the magnificent church tower being added in 1386.

The parish church of Our Lady is a Roman Catholic church building in Waibstadt. It is considered one of the most striking churches in northern Kraichgau. Because of the 65 m high tower, which is visible from afar, the church building is also known as the “Kraichgau Cathedral”. The church serves as a parish church for the Roman Catholic parish of Maria Himmelfahrt Waibstadt and as a venue for other celebrations such as theater performances or concerts.

In 1274, Dieter von Helmstatt recognized the castle and its possessions in Bischofsheim as an imperial fief from King Rudolf von Habsburg. Built in swampy terrain, surrounded by water, the residential tower rested on an oak grate and was probably only accessible through an opening on the upper floor. Already in the following century was under the brothers Raban III. and Wiprecht the Old expanded the castle around the year 1368 by adding the Palas, which no longer exists today. After the Bischofsheim line of the Lords of Helmstatt died out in 1966, the castle came into the possession of the city in 1975. In the years 1976 - 1978 a comprehensive restoration took place with the support of the State Monuments Office. Remarkable paintings were discovered and uncovered inside.

The former Baden official town of Neckarbischofsheim is also suitable as a stage destination (- 5km). The old castle and the park definitely invite you to take a long break.
