The bike path goes through grazing fields and is usually covered in mud and sh*t so choose a dry spell or avoid.

The parkland at Wimpole Estate is a fantastic, nature-filled area comprising woodlands, farmland with grazing animals, and tranquil lakes.

Nice place for coffee and a sausage roll - take away during lockdown. Normally entrance to ground charged (unless National Trust members). The route goes in via a marked byway. There is a more scenic ride in the grounds I was told if you turn left as you come on to the track instead of going straight on to the hall.

Nice single lane through the Wimpole Estate. Goes through the grounds and past the house. The road has cattle grids and is quite gravelly but well passable on a road bike
