A stone witness to a bygone forest industry and a monument to German chemical history – that's how one could describe the Enzklösterle soot works in a nutshell. This old building was constructed in 1829, rediscovered in 1982, and completely restored between 1992 and 1994. Even towards the end of the 19th century, pine soot was extracted here for the production of black dyes. The Enzklösterle soot works is a rarity. To the best of our knowledge, there is no other soot works in Germany in such good condition. Between the trees, you can just make out part of Sprollenhaus. The tall fir trees make it impossible to see any further.

In the wooden box of the door, which can be opened, as well as in the ice-cold water, there are high-proof schnapps that are available for tasting.

Great hiking trail lined with ferns that is always close to the Kälberbach stream.

There is another path above the sledding slope.

Spirits are available in the fountain. Shot glasses and small boxes are stored in a wooden box.

Between the trees you can see the village of Sprollenhaus.
