It’s even more remarkable that it is National Trust (their smallest site!) and completely free of charge 🤩.

Once here, you know why Parson did love this spot - stunning views of the coastline are guaranteed.

Serves food from 12pm onwards and run by lovely people. Definitely worth a stop.

Stunning reward at halfway point!

Take a short detour off the coast path and you'll reach this little hut, built into the hill. Reverend Robert Steven Hawker was the vicar at Morwenstow Church from 1834. Both compassionate and eccentric, he was known locally as Parson Hawker and built this hut from driftwood where he would smoke opium and write poetry. His most famous work was 'The Song of the Western Men'. Although published anonymously, Charles Dickens named him as the author.

At low tide you can get across the beach all the way to Bude. Please check tide times and heights as only on low tides 🌊

Stunning footpath along the coast. Very steep in parts with a couple of sections with very tall steps. Very easy to follow. A few gates and livestock fields.
