This picture was the last one we took. We reached the parking lot from the opposite direction and didn't recognize the entrance (the direct route to the lake). That sometimes happens when you trust your navigation system too much :-)

Located between the former Gasthaus Reschbe (Rensberg) and the Schöne Aussicht directly on the Westweg.

I fell in love with the “Schänzle”, as people here call the Gasthaus zur Schwedenschanze, at first sight. It's a mountain inn like you rarely find. The restaurant is cosy and the view outside is fantastic.

Certainly not when open 😉

Right next to the beer/drinks fridge. Always worth a stop for €2 per drink.
