Must be small, I didn't notice it. 😉

Climbing the Sychnant Pass westwards from Conwy town presents a scenic challenge on a narrow, winding minor road. After leaving the historic town walls, the road soon kicks upwards; the main ascent averages around 8% with steep ramps, particularly on bends, reaching 13-15%, demanding a solid effort despite the relatively short overall distance. Experience the reward of fantastic views quickly opening up behind you over Conwy Castle and the estuary.

It's well worth the effort to climb to the top of the pass.

The cliff top cafe with a heart of gold. A walk around the Marine Drive on the Great Orme is a fascinating experience, with a wealth of Archaeology, Geology and Biology on view. But it's a thirsty walk, and all uphill. Half way round, at the highest point, there's a great surprise in store. Built in 1908, and there’s an apocryphal story that suggests the then owner’s somewhat dominant wife wasn’t seen after the concrete foundations were laid… Originally, the cafe was a simple shack, but in the 1980s it was expanded to hold 16 seats, and acted as a warm and cosy shelter for the winter walkers. In 2001 the cafe was expanded again, through EU grant aid, to house a toilet and a larger room, and in 2019 the final expansion phase saw a much larger main room and the new roof terrace created. there is ample free parking, plenty of space inside, outside and on the roof and the best toasted teacakes to be found anywhere.

Sychnant Pass (Welsh: Bwlch Sychnant, "Dry-stream Pass") in Conwy County Borough, Wales, links Conwy to Penmaenmawr via Dwygyfylchi. Much of the pass is in Snowdonia National Park, and a large area of land within it has been designated a site of Special Scientific Interest. At the bottom is the village of Capelulo, which lends its name to the community of Penmaenmawr. Tough climb from any direction. Well worth for the stunning scenery.

Llyn Ogwen is a ribbon lake in north-west Wales. It lies alongside the A5 road between two mountain ranges of Snowdonia, the Carneddau and the Glyderau.

This is Route number 5 and it one of the best cycling path I've ever had the chance to ride on. The sea is on one side and the mountains on the other its absolutely stunning

Before the English built the town of Conwy, Aberconwy Abbey, the site was occupied by a Cistercian monastery favoured by the Welsh princes,[3] as well as the location of one of the palaces (called llys) of the Welsh princes. From Conwy: "the oldest structure is part of the town walls, at the southern end of the east side. Here one wall and the tower of a llys [palace/court house] belonging to Llywelyn the Great and his grandson Llywelyn ap Gruffydd have been incorporated into the wall. Built on a rocky outcrop, with an apsidal tower, it is a classic, native, Welsh build and stands out from the rest of the town walls, due to the presence of four window openings. It dates from the early 13th century and is the most complete remnant of any of his Llys." The location also controlled an important crossing point over the River Conwy between the coastal and inland areas of North Wales, that Deganwy Castle for many years had defended.

Conwy Castle is a fortification in Conwy, located in North Wales. It was built by Edward I, during his conquest of Wales, between 1283 and 1287. Constructed as part of a wider project to create the walled town of Conwy, the combined defences cost around £15,000, a massive sum for the period.

Built by Thomas Telford, the 99.5-metre-long (326 ft) suspension bridge spans the River Conwy next to Conwy Castle, a World Heritage Site. The bridge was built in 1822–1826 at a cost of £51,000 (equivalent to $4,701,000 in 2019) and replaced the ferry at the same point. It is in the same style as one of Telford's other bridges, the Menai Suspension Bridge crossing the Menai Strait. The original wooden deck was replaced by an iron roadway in the late nineteenth century and it was strengthened by adding wire cables above the original iron chains in 1903. The following year a six-foot-wide (1.8 m) walkway was added for pedestrian traffic. The bridge was superseded by a new road bridge built alongside and closed on 13 December 1958 when Henry Brooke, the Minister of Welsh Affairs, performed the opening ceremony of the new bridge. The suspension bridge is now only used as a footbridge and has been owned by the National Trust since 1965 who make a small charge for entry.

The Conwy Suspension Bridge is a Grade I-listed structure and is one of the first road suspension bridges in the world. Located in the medieval town of Conwy in Conwy county borough, North Wales, it is now only passable on foot. The bridge is now in the care of the National Trust. It originally carried the A55(T) road from Chester to Bangor.

Seals are located on a small area of the great orme. easily spotted if you look over the edge from roadside wall, and thankfully the public are not permitted in that area. it's also not really possible to reach from land. which is a bonus
