... former Augustinian monastery church in Oberndorf/Neckar, in the district of Rottweil, Baden-Württemberg. - very worth seeing (ceiling frescoes, stucco, ...) - you should "bring" some time and visit the church in peace, there is a lot to discover! - information boards on the left side "provide" interesting information about the individual ceiling frescoes ... - observe opening hours! - https://www.oberndorf.de/Unsere-Stadt/Kultur/Klosterkirche For those interested!!! - In 1264, a women's community settled and joined the Augustinian order - the current monastery complex is the 4th complex after predecessor buildings - built 1772–1779 - In 1806 the monastery was dissolved = closed - from 1811 used as an arms factory (taken over by the Mauser brothers in 1874) - in 1972 the complex was bought by the city of Oberndorf and is now used as an administration = town hall - the restored monastery church is now used as a cultural and event center The monastery church is worth a visit! - you should "bring" some time to admire the beauty of the frescoes and paintings! - Style: Late Baroque - Information boards (on the left walls) provide interesting information about the frescoes and the history of the monastery and church - very worth seeing: the fresco paintings by Johann Baptist Enderle and the stucco work by Andreas Henckel Opening hours (2025); Mon-Fri, 09:00 - 17:00 and Sat-Sun, 11:00 - 17:00 For those interested: https://www.oberndorf.de/Unsere-Stadt/Kultur/Klosterkirche - https://www.kloester-bw.de/klostertexte.php?kreis=&bistum=Konstanz&alle=&ungeteilt=&art=alt&orden=&orte=&buchstabe=&nr=415&thema=Geschichte
