Nice views, worth the climb, even on a driech day!

Some great views of Ivinghoe Beacon at the summit where the Ridgway path crosses the lane.

A wonderful peak offering sublime views across the surrounding countryside.

The lion was carved into the hills overlooking Dunstable Downs close to Whipsnade Zoo in 1931-33. Some say it was to remind pilots not to fly too low when crossing the zoo so they didn't scare the animals, others that it was an elaborate advert. In 2017/18 the lion was refurbished with a donated 800 tonnes of chalk so now it can be appreciated from quite some distance.

Bring a snack and a drink and enjoy the view.

Can get a bit windy but you can hide behind one of the two pillar’s to have to lunch

Ivinghoe Beacon is the official start to the Ridgeway that extends from here to Overton Hill in Wiltshire, some 87 miles in all and is over 5000 years old. Wonderful views from the beacon itself but also along the Ridgeway.

save some energy for the last bit!!! it get steep at the end... after that you get a well earned downhill!

Moderate walk up hill, can be slippery on wet day in some places , take it easy and you be fine

No matter how easy or hard you find the trail, it's all forgotten when you get to this point , Enjoy.

From Warden Hill, you get fantastic views over Luton

From Warden Hill you get fantastic views over Luton. The hill is located within the Galley and Warden Hills Nature Reserve, a chalk downland that supports many varieties of wild flowers and rare insects, including over 20 species of butterflies.

From the Ivinghoe Beacon you can see the Whipsnade Lion and in 2006 that lion was illuminated in the dark

scenic looking hill and free car park. trail runs straight through car park so can't so better than that!

Great views from the top and the surrounding areas offer great planning opportunities as you can go from the exposed hilltop with great views to trails across fields and woodlands and have the opportunity to have a flat walk or one full of hills.

From the summit of Steps Hill, you are treated to wonderful views over Beacon Hill and the ever-charming Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
