I was able to discover this magnificent place but be careful on the descents and especially do not go alone. For film fans, these are the steps of The Count of Monte Cristo....

⚠️⚠️⚠️Ascent blue route (via ferrata) very technical, even dangerous⚠️⚠️⚠️ with sections of climbing. People sensitive to heights --> avoid The markers are not very visible. Highly not recommended! Except for very experienced athletes and people with mountaineering/climbing experience, this is not a hike. 📢Obviously, we're forgetting about hiking with children, grandparents, the dog, flip-flops, and city sneakers... 📢 I'm specifying this because the information panel barely emphasizes the risks of this trail.

Stunning

With this highlight, hikers will find not just one, but a group of three crosses on this mountain - as the name "Les Trois Croix" suggests. A wayside cross or summit cross commemorates the death of Jesus Christ, and always the middle one. But the other two are not here without reason: According to the biblical tradition of the New Testament, Jesus Christ, accused of being the "King of the Jews", was not sentenced to death by crucifixion alone, but together with two criminals and executed (see, for example, the evangelist Luke 22:33): + "They came to the place called the Place of the Skull; there they crucified him and the criminals, one on his right and the other on his left." +

Between Gigaro beach and the Brouis point, a path runs along this rugged coastal section. A great opportunity to hike between the sea and the rocks while observing Calvaire Bay.

Nice place, picnic area with a view of the lake. Unfortunately, most of the restaurants were closed at the beginning of October.

Gigaro Beach, located on the Var coast near La Croix-Valmer, is a true corner of paradise. This vast expanse of fine sand, bordered by maritime pines and Mediterranean scrub, offers an idyllic setting for swimming. In the background, the green hills complete this magnificent natural picture.
