The Hunter's Path is a high level trail, running from Hunter's Tor in the west, along an awesome airy trail below Castle Drogo and through Drewston Wood. The trail is well maintained by the National Trust, but does get steeper and sometimes slippery at the eastern end, above Fingle Bridge.

Fingle Bridge is a 17th-century stone bridge over the River Teign. It's a useful crossing point linking some of the enjoyable gravel riverside trails in the area. The riverside paths on both sides of the river make great running loops. The Fingle Bridge hotel is also a good pit stop, set in idyllic surroundings.

Castle Drogo is a 20th-century castle overlooking the Teign Valley. It's owned and managed by the National Trust and makes a great stop off or start point for a run in the area. If you decide to start here, it's paid parking for non-NT members. The café at the visitor centre serves a good selection of light meals, snacks and drinks, perfect to stock up before you go or refuel after your run.

Whilst there may not be actual ruins, this area is the site of an old castle and offers some views of the valley.

Steep climb if accessing from the river, it is generally a wide path and can vary in gradient from relaxed climbing to pretty steep.

Wide and hand packed under foot, this trail is great for a little flat running (you'll be grateful of this in Devon), good conditions all year round.

Stunning views. You can either park at drogos Castle national trust for £6 for the day and it's a short walk to the view. Or do a circular walk and park down by fingle Bridge for free where they do delicious food by the river or even just a nice chilled drink watching the wonderful array of wildlife.

Many people exploring the Teign Gorge head to Sharp Tor for breathtaking views. Fewer people visit nearby Hunter’s Tor, however, which is surprising as it affords equally-stunning views. Whilst it is quite small, Hunter’s Tor has enough room for a few folks to sit on the rocks and enjoy the wonderful views.
