The Unterganzner hereditary estate, run by Josephus Mayr, is located on the eastern edge of the Bolzano Basin at an altitude of 285 meters and has been owned by the Mayr family since 1629. The vineyards grow on porphyry soil and are known for native grape varieties such as Lagrein and Schiava (Vernatsch). Of particular note are the wines "Lamarein," an Amarone-style red wine made from dried Lagrein grapes, and "Composition Reif," a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Lagrein. The Mayr family combines their passion for wine with music—every family member plays an instrument or sings. The winery is easily accessible by bike. A cycle path along the Isarco River leads nearby, and the route, starting in Bolzano's city center, is a pleasant ride.

The Nusserhof winery in Bolzano has been owned by the Mayr family since 1788 and is a green oasis on the banks of the Isarco River. Certified organic since 1994, it specializes in native grape varieties such as Lagrein, Blatterle, and Teroldego. The vineyards are located on warm, deep alluvial soils with porphyry and dolomite deposits, ideal for viticulture. The winery is managed by Heinrich Mayr and his daughter Gloria, who are committed to sustainable cultivation. The winery is easily accessible by bike, as it is located near the Isarco River and the city of Bolzano. The cycle path along the river leads close to the winery, allowing for a relaxed and hassle-free journey.
