멋진 마을 가게입니다. 2026년 5월에 방문했을 때, 평일 마감 시간은 정확히 오후 6시였습니다. 매우 더운 날이었고 시원한 음료가 절실히 필요했기 때문에 그 전에 도착하려고 서둘렀습니다. 토요일 아침 8시 30분에 문을 열고 차와 페이스트리를 제공하는 것은 아침 식사나 오전 간식으로 훌륭한 선택입니다. 이곳의 음식 선택은 정말 훌륭하고 품질이 높으며 가격도 합리적입니다. CSJ 숙박 목록에 접근할 수 있다면, Hector's House는 (꽤 바쁜) 길 건너편에 있으며, (이용 가능한 경우) 훌륭한 캠핑 옵션을 포함한 숙박 시설을 제공할 수 있습니다.

Great village store!

The hillfort on the top of the hill has never been excavated, but the land and ditch are sharply defined and well preserved. This Iron Age fort is roughly rectangular and enclosed seven acres within an embankment and ditch. There are two probable entrances to the east and west. The work seems to have been undertaken by several different labour forces, each working on a section of the defences, but for some reason the task was abandoned and the fort left unfinished. Great to walk along the unfinished ramparts, it's windy and flipping huge!!!

Lovely quiet stop with terrace round the back

Great village shop (plus Post Office) staffed mainly by volunteers, next to a rec. Everything you might need plus a small café with Moonroast coffee via a self-serve machine and a good variety of cakes. Two small indoor tables and outdoor seating on decking in good weather

Our local NT place we go here often. Morgaston woodland walks out of the back gate where you will also find a hide overlooking wetlands. Secure bike parking limited. Suggestion attach to wooden fence by reception and we will keep an eye on it but can’t be responsible. Highlight for us in this house is the chapel. Lovely lake but rebuilding work to a bridge in progress at the moment
