Whitwell is a charming village located near Harpenden in Hertfordshire. It's a great place to stop and refuel during a run. You can visit The Bull Inn for a refreshing drink, or Emily's Tea Room and grab yourself some delicious cakes or coffee.

A local landowner once destroyed the original Ayot St Lawrence Church, because it obstructed the view from his home. He had the church rebuilt, with the hope to have it resemble a temple to Apollo.

Interesting rather than spectacular - looks like doric columns were originally fluted but have been rendered at some point. Restoration in hand at present.
