Beautiful hike and not strenuous!

The Pregarten Museum is a history and regional museum in the town of Pregarten in Upper Austria. It shows a cross-section of 3,200 years of regional contemporary history, from the burial mounds from the Bronze Age to the present. It is located in the Lehnerhaus, a historic building from the 16th century. The museum has several permanent exhibitions, such as: The 1st Upper Austrian stoneware factory Prägarten, which manufactured ceramic products from 1848 to 1930. Trade and commerce in Pregarten through the ages, showing the development of the local economy and society. The tumuli of Unterweitersdorf, which present the oldest archaeological finds from the region. The museum also regularly organizes special exhibitions, events, tours and workshops on various topics. The museum is open every Sunday from April to October from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free, donations are welcome.

Top viewpoint over the beautiful Mühlviertel. You can see it from a distance, a great destination that is rewarded with a wide view.

State care center with a very nice park area - fallow deer, goats, emu and some cheeky squirrels.

April 7th, 2023 - The Ackerlhof, once it stood in the middle of meadows and fields, is now surrounded by a housing estate.

04/07/2023 - A spacious area with lots of meadow and a number of shady spots under the numerous trees invite you to stay and linger. In addition to the small toddlers' corner, there is a pool area for non-swimmers with a medium-sized slide and a swimmers' area with a diving corner. A snack bar provides classic outdoor pool supplies. All of this is also available as a family package at a fair price. Definitely worth a trip.
