A beautiful village with a large, free parking lot on the outskirts of town. Many cycling and hiking tours can be started from here. The cycling paths around Ellmau are well signposted.

On clear days, an impressive view of the Kaiser Mountains with their striking rock formations opens up. Particularly striking are the Ellmauer Halt, the highest peak of the massif, and the elegant Ackerlspitz, which blends into the mountain silhouette further east. The steep limestone cliffs of the Wilder Kaiser rise majestically above expansive forests and green alpine meadows, forming a spectacular backdrop. The village square in Kirchberg is the central heart of the town and a popular meeting place for locals and visitors alike. In summer, regular open-air concerts, culinary evenings such as the "Kost.Bar," the traditional Kirchtagsmarkt (church fair), and the popular village festival take place here. Events such as the flower parade in August and the atmospheric Christmas market in December also make the square a cultural hub. With its central location and lively program of events, the village square is an ideal place to linger, enjoy, and experience.
