The Watermill is open on Saturdays and Sundays. Inside there is an amazing museum charting the history of the Mill and its owners, the Hawkins family. The Mill still works and the resultant delicious bread is sold on the premises. The history of the Hawkins family is very interesting, including the story of Lance Corporal Rex Hawkins, who fought on the western front during World War 1. Highly recommended.

Really interesting history of crime and punishment in St Albans. You can buy refreshments in the cafe and then go and eat them in the historic old courtroom. You can also go downstairs to the old cells and into the museum, where there is an excellent history of crime and punishment. There is a place to lock bikes up outside 🚴🏼‍♂️

After heavy rain the area under the bridge sometimes floods

When there is heavy rain , this area can flood quite badly

Love the history of cycling on the Green Route. The Cathedral, the pretty park waters, the Roman ruins, one of my fav rides 🚴🏼‍♂️
