On the western shore of Lake Körbersee, you'll find yourself away from the crowds, enjoying views across the lake to the surrounding peaks. The narrow lakeside path runs close to the water, offering frequent opportunities for short photo stops. It's ideal for a peaceful break with a postcard-perfect panorama before continuing your walk around the lake.

Lake Körbersee lies idyllically nestled between alpine meadows and striking peaks, revealing itself in winter as a tranquil, snow-covered landscape. Instead of reflections in the water, snow, ice, and the surrounding white slopes dominate the scene. It's ideal for a peaceful winter hike with postcard-perfect panoramas and plenty of fresh mountain air.

From up here, Lake Körbersee lies at your feet, framed by lush alpine meadows and the surrounding peaks. On a calm day, the mountain scenery is reflected in the water, creating a picture-perfect postcard panorama. A perfect spot for a short break, a few photos, and a deep breath.

Lake Kalbele is idyllically situated on the Hochtannberg Pass and, in calm weather, reflects the surrounding peaks. A beautiful spot for a short break right by the road, ideal as a photo stop or starting point for hikes around Warth-Schröcken.

A wonderfully clear mountain lake that offers refreshment, especially on warm to hot hiking days. If you take the circular hike up to the Braunarlspitze counterclockwise, you can treat yourself to a little cooling off or simply a quiet moment of relaxation after several hours of hiking. The water is easily accessible from all sides, so you can spread out and find your own quiet spot. The stones along the shore are quite sharp. If you plan on dipping more than just your feet in the water, you might want to consider packing a pair of lightweight beach/bathing shoes. The water is typically cold for a mountain lake, even on very hot summer days. However, I did see a "hardy" person swim in it for two minutes.

There's a great free parking lot behind the church. From there, you can start hikes toward Braunarlspitze or Mohnenfluh.

An alpine pasture located directly on the hiking trail, just 2 km from Schröggen, with a very friendly hostess. A very welcome first stop at the end of a circular hike to the Braunarlspitze or Mohnenfluh. They offer a variety of drinks and light snacks such as bacon or cheese sandwiches, Landjäger sausages, or even a full plate of snacks. There is a beautiful view of the valley and the surrounding area. The various free-roaming animals, such as very unusual-looking chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, were a particular eye-catcher during our rest stop.
