Coming from the Pfeishütte, concentration is required from the Stempeljoch onwards. I always say: work it out carefully. Otherwise, the descent is straightforward. Then the Wilde-Buben-Steig is no problem.

Apart from the length, it is an uncomplicated, technically easy hike.

Descent from the peak goes down a grassy field. Keep the wooden sticks on your left and eventually the path becomes more clear going right

Very beautiful and rustic mountain hut with a great view, very good food and extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended for a stopover or overnight stay!

The hiking car park at this point is free. There is also a bus stop, a children's playground and a pub here. If you want to go further up into the Halltal, you have to either walk, cycle or take a taxi. In the summer from May to October, a shuttle runs every hour on Saturdays and Sundays (if it is not raining) for €5 per adult and €2.50 for children. Descent from Thaurer Jochspitze southwards towards Kreuzjöchl, initially only footprints in the steep grassy terrain. Not when wet.

Easy via ferrata. Be careful if it is heavily used: a key point is located directly under a crossing with a lot of crumbly Karwendel limestone. Danger of rockfall from those ahead.
