Truly impressive engineering in wood. At the beginning of the 1990s, the load-bearing capacity of the old Murbrücke decreased, so that a new building became necessary. The municipality wanted a wooden bridge that enhances the local building material and sets a visible sign. The Department of Timber Construction at Graz University of Technology is responsible for the planning and implementation of the "WENNerbrücke". It was built by Kulmer Holzleimbau GmbH. A service life of 80 years is considered realistic. A total of around 3 million euros was invested in the project.

In the middle of the square stands the Marian column with St. Maria Immaculata. It was erected in 1717 after a plague oath in 1715. Around the column are the statues of the six plague saints Sebastian, Rochus, Joseph, Franz Xavier, Karl Borromäus and Antonius. A beautiful wrought iron grille from 1736 runs around the ensemble.
