Push over the little kicker coming from Ashton and put the hammer down to fly into Mickleton.

This is one of England's tallest remaining maypoles. It is a striped pole that stands over 20 metres high. It has been present since the days of Shakespeare, and its original incarnation was made of wood (until it was struck by lightning and destroyed). The current pole is made of aluminium and is officially a Grade II historical monument listed by English Heritage.

National cycle networks 442 and 41 follow the dame route within Evesham and split up near Mickleton.

Quite a beautiful cycleway, which is a part of NCN 41&442. After a turn, there's an opportunity to follow NCN 41 along the famous Salt Way, which the Romans used to transport salt from Droitwich Spa.

Great place for a cup of coffee and beautiful views of River Avon. St. Andrew's Parish Church can be seen on the other side of the river.

NCN 442, which goes from Long Hanborough to Worcester and NCN 41, which goes from Rugby to the centre of Bristol, intercept here and go along Badsey bridleway to Evesham.

Has a statue of Shakespeare on it if your looking for them

Beautiful and well preserved half-timbered building, you will not find many in similar style and quality around. Even if you do not enter the museum it is worth a detour to have a view.
