It's quite a pleasant climb, the road was quiet and wound upwards past some large open fields on the left. It's not a steep climb, a much more gradual affair

No nonsense coffee shop in the old lock keepers cottage. Plenty of tables inside and outside. Menu covers breakfast as well as lunch and tea. Lots of home made cakes.

Marston Lane links Marston on Dove to the north with Rolleston on Dove in the south. It's a pretty lane where you will mainly be riding across farmland. You also cross the River Dove and the railway track.

The picture says it all, a bygone era.

Only rode by this place but will be visiting soon. Who doesnt like a nice place for a cuppa

Nice little town, a few places to grab a snack or something more substantial.... pity I'm always on a bike as I go.through it!
