When descending from the Stoderzinken you have a breathtaking view of the Dachstein Mountains.

Good starting point for hikes, but you have to use the toll road (20 euros).

Only the Flora via ferrata can be done without via ferrata equipment, provided that you have sturdy shoes and are sure-footed. All others require the necessary equipment, but are also more fun 😉. Very nice views included👍. At the top, near the "normal" summit path, there is a suspension bridge that belongs to the climbing garden. This can be easily avoided and was often the location for the ZDF series “The Mountain Rescuers”.

on the way to the Friedenskircherl

This monument, which weighs around 3.5 tons and is made of marble powder, was erected in 1968 in memory of the Styrian poet Peter ROSEGGER (1843 to 1918). The artist for the statue was Siegfried Schwab from Trieben. Rossegger was friends with Emil Ritter von Horstig, the builder of the "Friedenskircherl" (if you are interested, see hiking highlight https://www.komoot.com/de-de/highlight/258857 ). His lines are written on the foundation of the monument: "What should I write in these mountains full of sunshine? I can only be silent in devotion and be blissful!"
