Beautiful woodland with several granit tors embedded into the hill. There's a footpath that runs the whole way through and it's wicked in every season. Sometimes hard to spot in places in autumn because the leaf litter is so thick. Incredible bluebells in May.

Fabulous view of the rock from this lane, and look out for the steps and rail carved into the side of the tor too.

Constructed in 1881, Kennick Reservoir covers 50 acres (20ha) and neighbours Tottiford and Trenchford Reservoirs. For those keen on fishing, it's worth knowing that Kennick is a premier rainbow trout fishery, and waterside access here is limited to anglers only, whereas you can walk around the edges of the other two reservoirs.
