Exmouth from Elephant Rock

Great view, day or night. Be aware that the path up has seen better days and is really, really steep. I went down on my bum as I was on my own at night. Beautiful area, great connecting train line for easy forget-the-car holidays and seightseeing. Take a torch for evening/low light walks.

This is a good vantage point from which to watch and photograph the trains running between Teignmouth and Dawlish. It's a great rail route, both as a rail traveller and as a walker on the South West Coast Path.

Red Rock Beach is a sandy beach at the northern end of Dawlish Town Beach, near Langstone Rock. It is a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing and fishing. You can also enjoy the views of the trains that run along the coast.

Seawall path, or along the sandy beach when the tide is out. Be careful of the weather- high seas can be hazardous! Wonderful views! Good access to steep climbing paths, too, if you want hill reps.

Red Rock Beach is a lovely stretch of golden sand backdropped by dramatic red cliffs. The beach is located at Langstone Rock, close to the quaint seaside town of Dawlish. Take care at high tide as there's a risk of cut-off. You should also avoid walking close to the cliffs as they are unstable.

Langstone Rock is a fascinating landmark at the northern end of Red Rock Beach between Dawlish Warren and Dawlish. The extraordinary cliffs started life as windblown, oxidized red desert sands laid down as dunes. If you are lucky, you may even see dolphins swimming in the waters around this area.

The Dawlish to Dawlish Warren sea wall which has been put in place as a sea defence during the winter months also acts as a path which links the popular tourist destination Dawlish Warren to Dawlish town centre. A beautiful walk when the tide is out.
