The beachside area's little streets limit the traffic and there are plenty of cafes if you want to break your ride by the seaside.

Nice view down the wide, sandy beach but the last part of the approach is very steep and there's no barrier at the bottom so caution needed.

Visit the watchtower close by! I was given a tour by a very friendly and knowledgeable volunteer, and got to use his telescope too!

The Beeston Bump is a local highlight and one of the few actual 'high' points in Norfolk. Stunning views of the North Sea and both Sheringham and Cromer. Hiking in the Norfolk Coast AONB is a real pleasure and Beeston HIll is a great chance to get up high in an otherwise flat area. Combine with a hike to Beacon Hill Roman camp from either Sheringham or Cromer (or both) for a fine day out.

Originally there were two 'bumps' the second has been eroded. Bumps were created by glaciers retreating during the Ice Age.

This is such a gorgeous section of running along the beautiful Norfolk Coastal Path via an undulating grassy trail high up on the clifftops. You can enjoy uninterrupted views up and down the divine coastline and out to the North Sea, which will be sure to distract those legs from all the hard work.

Enjoy terrific views of Cley and its impressive 19th century windmill as you make your way along this flat and compact pathway through the marshes.

Blakeney Marshes, also known as Blakeney Freshes, is a vast expanse of freshwater grazing marshes. A nature reserve, it's an important habitat for all sorts of residents, from otters and voles to Brent geese and avocet. No matter what time of year you visit, there'll be plenty of birdlife to see. A footpath takes you around the perimeter of the marshes, providing some wonderful viewing spots, a little raised over the flat fields.

The cliffs here are a geological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). On the beach below the fossilised skeleton of a Skeppe Mammoth was found in 1990 so keep watch for interesting finds. Please keep away from the cliff edges though as there is a risk of cliff falls. There is a cafe here at West Runton Beach as pubic toilets.

Lovely colourful beach huts available to hire on a weekly basis. Check the North Norfolk council website for details.

Excellent blue flag beach with a big expanse of sand when the tide is out. Very quiet in the winter but busy in the summer. Sand breakers mean it can be good for swimming.

The beach huts along the sea front at Sheringham are available for hire from the local council. The brightly coloured huts are iconic landmarks of the British seaside. They date back to Victorian times when bathers would get changed in the hut and a horse would drag it into the sea so people could bathe without anyone seeing them in their swimming attire.

Wonderful spot for watching Marsh Harriers.

One of the nicest beaches on the North Norfolk coastline, halfway between Sheringham and Cromer it is often overlooked, however it tends to be a bit quieter because of this.
