Peaceful spot for a break on the corner just before Axmouth village, benches and a picnic table looking out over the estuary.

Lister Gardens at an elevated position above Lyme Regis bay and harbour and accessed from Cobb Road mixture of gravel paths and wooden decked platforms gardens and woodland, joining with Langmoor gardens. Situated at the entrance to the gardens is Rockfish Restaurant for superb fish and seafood. Boasting a great menu with the addition of the local catches 👌 Dine and walk after .

Colyford Filling Station, built in 1927-8 to the designs of Frederick Kett. Grade II listed building.

A mile-long beach with a mix of sand and shingle, clear water, and a gently sloping shore. It's a great place for swimming, water sports, and walking. The beach is surrounded by cliffs and green hillsides, and is a popular spot for photographers. A flat walking area that runs alongside the beach, with a cafe at one end and the town at the other.

Lyme Regis is a pretty seaside resort, boasting beautiful beaches, breathtaking scenery, a fascinating history and picturesque harbour as well as plenty of activities, attractions and a varied programme of events to keep you entertained all year round. Steeped in so much history.

The Town Mill Bakery is brilliant! The eat in or take away breakfast, brunch, lunch or cakes are amazing, and the coffee and tea options are great. It's a really fun communal atmosphere with huge tables to share and well-cooked food. Open 8:30 - 15:00 but closed Tue and Wed.

Jacob's Ladder is one of Sidmouth's two large beaches. An expanse of sand and shingle, the beach gets its name from the series of wooden steps that lead down from Connaught Gardens. Whilst the beach can be accessed via the steps it is also possible to walk around from the town's main beach via a level path. At the top of the step system there is a cafe leading to the gardens, this can be a good place to visit after a coastal run

Sign says unsuitable for cyclists but I took a chance with low water after a dry spell. Use your own judgement!

Cycling through it is no problem at all. Just be careful when you come out up the slope. Switch a little smaller. If you put too much force there, there is a risk of slipping.

The road between Beer and Seaton offers regular cliff and sea views. As part of the Jurassic coastline, the cliffs jut out majestically from the sea, providing ample ground for fossil hunters.
