The Drewe Arms is a beautiful country pub selling a good range of cask ales. Food is very good, but not sold Sunday evenings. Well worth a visit.

Jurassic Coast - here, as a touring cyclist, you get a nice access with wonderful views, swimming options and good restaurants.

A mile-long beach with a mix of sand and shingle, clear water, and a gently sloping shore. It's a great place for swimming, water sports, and walking. The beach is surrounded by cliffs and green hillsides, and is a popular spot for photographers. A flat walking area that runs alongside the beach, with a cafe at one end and the town at the other.

Steeped in civil war history Hemyock castle the battlefield for Cromwell parliamentarians and royalists. Open on bank holidays between Easter and september £1 entry fee….worth a visit😀

This 19th-century bridge spans the River Yarty and is most notable for its cast iron plaque. The plaque warns of punishment by transportation for life should you undertake wilful damage to the bridge. This punishment was a banishment to a penal colony in a distant place, most famously, Australia. Perhaps the idea of being sent to Australia for damaging the bridge no longer sounds like much of a punishment though!
