The Drewe Arms is a beautiful country pub selling a good range of cask ales. Food is very good, but not sold Sunday evenings. Well worth a visit.

Property built for Bishops of St Paul's Cathedral back in 1843. Named after the Italianate six-storey stone tower. Currently a private home.

Titford Bridge is a beautiful little stone bridge spanning over a small river in the Devonshire countryside.

Wolford Chapel is an interesting place as it technically belongs to Canada, and is deemed to be within the territory of the Canadian province of Ontario. Graves Simcoe, the first lieutenant governor of Upper Canada, was buried here, and the chapel proudly flies the Canadian flag. So you can actually say you've visited Canada on this walk.

Northill Airfield is an aerodrome located in the southwest corner of the Blackdown Hills Area of Natural Beauty in Devon. It is home to the Devon & Somerset gliding club and features a little café which is open to the public and serves up hot drinks, meals and cakes. Please note, the café is only open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and weekends.

A great place to refuel on the EDT

They are only there once a month on the second Sunday of every month- or special occasions. Gorgeous cakes and pastries! Lovely vegan and gluten-free options too. They filled up my water Resevoir for me! Legends!

Picture postcard thatched cottages in a well-preserved medieval village dating from the 1200s, with most existing houses being from the late 16th and early 17th centuries.

A hefty road climb up from the quaint village of Gittisham up onto the East Hill Strip onto Westgate Hill, there are some tough steep sections. Best enjoyed in May when the beech leaves are fresh and green, and swathes of bluebells carpet the woodland floor with ferns unfurling.

Farway Church sits in Church Green, a couple of miles north west Farway village. This 14th century place of worship is intriguing by itself but it’s the two ancient and veteran yew trees that really capture your attention. The largest of the two has an incredible trunk which has almost plaited itself. Taking a moment to admire these old trees is truly spending time with ancient history. These gnarled trees have seen it all.
