The Stockerau train station presents itself as modern and spacious, having been completely renovated in 2011. Originally built in the early 1980s, the building's architecture is heavily inspired by the Wotruba Church in Vienna's Mauer district, which was built about a decade earlier. As a regional transport hub, Stockerau offers not only a historic station building but also several platforms, large waiting rooms, and various ticket offices and vending machines. The spacious park-and-ride facility makes it particularly attractive for commuters, while extensive bicycle parking spaces are available for cyclists. The route information is also impressive: The station has connections to both the Donauuferbahn and the Tullnerfelder Bahn lines.
