Little antique shop that does coffee and limited cakes. Seats outside but no toilets. Thaxted is limited to here or across road at Dorringtons for coffee. Dorringtons has wider choice as its a bakers but no seats. However there is a bench near the post office.

A good circular gravel track that is through a woodland. The track is solid but very lumpy with embedded bricks and rubble in places. Take it slow in places. Very popular with dog walkers. Worth a detour.

picturesque village with an idyllic pub location!

Lovely pub, that during the Dunwich Dynamo, opens late to serve hot food out in their garden (chilli with rice, burger, ratatouille with rice and veggie burgers) and beers, softs etc. as usual.

A great resting spot on the village green at Castle Hedingham. There’s also a bench under the tree offering some shade.

Good climb that goes on and on with various gradients west to east. Serious fast downhill east to west as Will says some corners blind at speed and as its single lane road there is nowhere to go except into the hedge. Beware. Best take it slow or ride it uphill west to east. Well worth the visit though.

Any time it rains it floods but it not deep. Keep over to left from Widdington and take it slow and its fine. Oct 23. Watch out for cars though they know its not deep so go through a bit fast. Fortunately not many cars use this road.
