Henham is a pretty little village in rural Essex, although the proximity to Stansted Airport means that the ski tends to be busier than the streets. The Cock Inn is a good pub, worth a stop, the village shop is great for picking up supplies and the Church of St Mary's has been here since 1044 (although it's not the same building).

All things considered, westbound is an easier ride. There's a climb up a hill at the eastern end, but the rest is easyish going. Eastbound, with impatient cars out of Elsenham behind and the near ever-constant uphill, can make for a frustrating experience.

A stretch of road that presents itself as potentially being a bit dangerous, but is actually OK. It's an easier ride westbound, with the initial downhill and traffic are more wont to stay behind further along when you turn south and begin a minor climb. Eastbound isn't fun up the climb, with frustrated cars behind. It's the law that you get at least one up your jacksie here.
