Sticklepath stores and cafe. You can sit outside with your bike and watch the world go by. Home made cakes were ridiculously cheap, too, and happy to top up water bottles 🙂

A beautiful section of route 27 Granite Way where the trail opens up as you pass across the Meldon Viaduct. Views across show the undulating hills of the highest area within Dartmoor National park where High Willhays and Yes Tor are situated.

Yes its a tad on the pricey side, but a good place to stop, indoor cycle rack, food quality always good.

Excellent pizza and undercover, outdoor seating at the Castle Inn! No issues taking our bikes into the garden.

Plenty of good shops for food. Stop at the Fat Mouse Dairy for ice cream

Went in on a cycle tour at the end of a long day - no pasta on the menu, no pump to check tyre pressures, no oil can to lube the chain, no help refilling water bottles. It's a bike themed cafe with high prices, but that's all.

One of the best cycling cafes in Devon for riding out onto Dartmoor, Cafe 3 Sixty has secure indoor bike parking and a really extensive tasty menu. Coffee and cake or something more substantial, their friendly staff are quick and efficient so you'll be fuelled up in no time. Fantastic section of road heading up from Dunsford in the Teign Valley, twisting between the trees, or as a descent from Moretonhampstead back towards Exeter.

One of our favourite villages in Dartmoor to visit. This quaint village has everything you need and endless roads leading out of it!

Long wait for food which was top end of the price range for a café of this nature. Acoustics in the building make it very noisy. Lots of pictures of cycling related activity while you’re waiting. There is a café About 30 yards from this one on the corner of Newton Road Which I would recommend above this one

Lydford is a pretty little village on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and hides, within its boundaries, several amazing features. One of these is its castle, of Norman origin that was rebuilt in the late 12th century with the tower being renovated in the 13th century. Consistently used over the centuries and repeatedly overhauled, it eventually fell into disuse in the 19th century. Free to enter, you can enjoy its large, sloping lawn after you've had a nose about the tiny building. A perfect picnic spot, the castle sits in utter tranquillity.

A fantastic little cafe that sells ice creams, sandwiches, coffee and cakes. There's a nice outdoor seating area out front and bike racks to store your bike securely whilst seated. The staff are very friendly too.

Probably the nicest town on the entire moor.
