Aggstein Castle is one of the landmarks of the Wachau region. It sits 300 meters above the Danube and offers stunning views. The interior of the spur castle, built on a towering rock, is also absolutely worth seeing. There is a tavern in the Bughof courtyard.

The Red Gate of Spitz's old market fortifications offers a beautiful view of the market town in front of the Tausendeimerberg hill. Next to it stands a beautiful historic shrine.

The parish church of St. Mauritius in Spitz on the Danube is a Gothic building with three naves and an extended chancel. The local church history dates back to the 10th century. Inside, the beautiful vaults, the magnificent Baroque altars, and the Gothic figures of the apostles are particularly worth seeing. We found the church open.
