This is a Great Alternative to using the road, This section of Lower road can get busy and being in a valley, there isn't much room to manoeuvre out the way of cars. the gravel track next to the road and fields is a great way to avoid all of this.

Fabulous sunsets if you pick the time of your visit

Straddling the beautiful River Stour – and therefore both Suffolk and Essex too – Bures a lovely village. Its medieval church of St Mary the Virgin is a fine sight. Walkers can refuel at one of two pubs – the Three Horseshoes or the Eight Bells – and find accommodation at the Old Manse B&B.

Nayland is a characterful Suffolk village in the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With its 15-century buildings, timber-framed houses and the pretty St James Church, there's a lot to admire. The church is home to 'Christ Blessing the Bread and Wine', one of John Constable's famous paintings.

Dedham Therapy Farm is a tranquil retreat in the Suffolk countryside, offering therapeutic activities and programs to promote mental health and well-being. Whilst you cannot actually enter the farm without appointment, you can still stroll by and enjoy the animal interactions.

Probably one of the best stretches of quite road in the county.

Popular local beauty spot. There's a cafe overlooking the river next to the rowing boat hire station.
