2월 12, 2024, Tresco Bike Hire
Actually, a bike is too much for Tresco because it can't be used to explore the paths in the northern part and the beautiful meadow path along the bays in the west.

8월 7, 2023, Bryher Low Water Quay
The Firethorn transports visitors from St Mary's to Bryher and neighbouring Tresco. Boats run every day, but tides and weather alter the timing, so check the timetable for your travel days, this is posted at the pier the day before. There is always a boat from St Mary's to Bryher about half an hour after the Scillonian arrives from Penzance. Boats land at either the low water quay here or the high-water quay a bit further south on the same coast. The timetable boards will tell you which one to expect.

8월 7, 2023, Ruin Beach Café
Really good quality beach front dining in a lovely café/restaurant. Mediterranean inspired food using local ingredients. Meals and snacks, as well as a nice place to stop for a drink. Open seasonally: End of March to end of Sep 9:00 - 21:00. Over the winter 10:00 - 20:00.

8월 3, 2023, Popplestone Bay
Popplestone is apparently named after the noise that the beach makes as the retreating waves suck the sand and pebbles with them. It's a wonderful wild beach on the west coast of Bryher. Protected by deep headlands on either side, it's a wonderful place to take a stop.

8월 2, 2023, Tresco Abbey Garden
We were not consciously looking for this place. We didn't know this place existed. And so we were very surprised by the variety of plants, flowers, colors, scents. And that in the middle of the Atlantic. A dream place.

Beautiful gardens laid out in the ruins of an old Benedictine abbey by Augustus Smith, Lord Proprietor of the Scillys in the 19th century. The garden is now home to over 2000 plant species from tropical and subtropical areas.

5월 17, 2023, St Agnes Lighthouse
The St Agnes lighthouse was built in 1680 as the second lighthouse on the Isles of Scilly. It was Britain’s most westerly lighthouse until the Bishop Rock lighthouse was built in 1858. The St Agnes light was originally coal fired, it was changed to oil in 1790 and upgraded in 1806 and again in 1880. It was decommissioned in 1911 after the Peninnis Lighthouse was built on St Mary's. The lighthouse is still maintained as a day mark for local boats.

5월 17, 2023, Gugh Beach
Gugh is an island attached to St Agnes by a tidal sand bar known as a Tombolo. The island is an unspoilt wilderness, covered in heather with a rocky coastline and sandy beaches to explore. There is a path around the edge, but you can't cycle on Gugh so leave your bike at the end of the sand bar crossing and explore on foot.

5월 17, 2023, St Agnes Quay
The inter-island boats travel regularly from St Mary's to St Agnes, a spectacular journey that takes about 15 mins. If you arrive on the Scillonian and are staying on St Agnes make sure that you tag your hold luggage with the yellow St Agnes tags (available at loading), this means that your luggage is transferred straight from the Scillonian to the smaller St Agnes Boat. Find details of timings on the quay each day.

5월 17, 2023, Troy Town Farm Campsite
Troy Town Farm has the only working dairy on the Isles of Scilly. The cows are reared outside in a non-intensive way, allowing them to wonder around the farm and generally live a happy cow life. The milk, yogurt and especially ice cream is amazing. You can buy the produce at the farm shop, and they also deliver anywhere on Scilly. The farm also runs several self-catering cottages and a great campsite where you can bring your own tent or hire a bell tent.

5월 16, 2023, Bryher Campsite
Run by Jo and Tom this little campsite is a proper gem. The setting is beautiful with small flat grassy fields in a dip between the two Bryher hills. Walls offer some wind protection and the shower block and whole campsite is always spotless. You can bring your own tent or hire a bell tent. The beach is a short walk in either direction and the pub and shop are also close by. Having a bike on the island means you can travel around easily and visit all the best beaches, cafes and viewpoints.
