Grein 시내 광장 바로 옆에 있는 교회는 성 아에기디우스 교구 교회입니다. 이곳은 건축학적으로 눈길을 끄는 곳일 뿐만 아니라 흥미로운 이야기도 담고 있습니다. 교회는 15세기에 지어진 후기 고딕 양식의 건물입니다. 안으로 들어가면 3개의 통로가 있는 홀의 화려한 교차 리브 볼트를 볼 수 있습니다. 오스트리아의 많은 교회와 마찬가지로 나중에 바로크 양식으로 개조되었습니다. 특히 제단(1749년경)은 진정한 걸작입니다. '벽으로 막힌' 탑: 탑 입구에는 기묘한 이야기가 있습니다. 이 입구는 1600년경 어린 소녀 살해 사건 이후 '신성 모독'으로 간주되어 수세기 동안 벽으로 막혔습니다. 2004년에 다시 개방되어 현재는 장애인용 출입구로 사용되고 있습니다.

A little way above the Peace Cross, you'll find the Gipfelstein (summit stone) – a rocky vantage point with unobstructed views of the Danube and Grein. The rock formation you're standing on here is the upper part of a rocky ridge that extends downhill and is crossed further down the Matrassteig trail through the so-called Felsentor (rock gate). https://www.komoot.com/de-de/highlight/118385

Nice place for a little break.

Beautiful old town with the Greinburg castle complex. Right at the entrance to the town there is a cozy café called Schörgi, where you can also sit outside. Usually easy to find as there are always lots of bikers there. The ice cream is definitely one of the best in the area and definitely recommended.

Managed refuge with many delicacies at reasonable prices, great view of Grein from the terrace!
