The Hecherhütte is located just above Viehhofen. Very friendly people, and you get a free view of the valley and the Schmittenhöhe.

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the hut. But the service is very friendly. There's a beautiful view of the Schmittenhöhe and the valley below. The hut is easily accessible on foot from Viehhofen.

The St. Elisabeth Chapel on the Schmittenhöhe was built in 1904 in honor of the Austrian Empress "Sisi." The small church stands directly at the summit and blends harmoniously into the mountain landscape. It is a quiet place of contemplation, offering a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Zell and the Hohe Tauern mountains.

The Erzbach Bridge leads you over the clear mountain stream, which meanders its rushing way through the valley. With views of the bubbling water and the surrounding nature, it's an idyllic spot along the way. A lovely place to pause for a moment and enjoy the atmosphere.

The Schmiedhofalm is idyllically situated on the sunny side of the Schmittenhöhe and is a popular stop for refreshments. Here, you can expect regional specialties, a cozy atmosphere, and stunning views of Lake Zell and the surrounding mountains—perfect for a rest during your hike.

The Legendary Forest is part of the Legendary Hiking Trail on the Schmittenhöhe. At various stations, you'll learn exciting stories and legends from the region as you hike through the shady mountain forest. This combines nature experiences with regional culture for a diverse tour for all ages.

The Sonnkogel mountain restaurant is idyllically situated on the Schmittenhöhe and is a popular destination for a cozy stop. On the sun terrace, you can enjoy regional specialties with stunning views of Lake Zell and the surrounding peaks. A perfect rest stop during your mountain hike.
