Bowers Marsh is a relatively new RSPB reserve between Pitsea and Benfleet stations. It's home to a lagoon, reedbeds, grasslands and plenty of birdlife. The reserve also features three viewing points and two picnic areas.

Ancient marsh grazing land that in the 1850's was drained for arable farming. In recent years the RSPB have purchased the site and raised the water level, inundating the marsh once more. Features circuitous routes around the marshes, grassland and lagoons that have been restored to natural order.

A mixture of trails, marshland and hills. Hadleigh Castle Country park offers a varied place to run. Watch out for the free roaming cows and goats which have been located on the park to aid in grassland management.

Part of the RSPB. Bowers Marsh encompasses grassy fields, marshes, lagoons, and wetlands, providing a stunning sanctuary for runs through these diverse natural environments.

Canvey Wick, is a 93-hectare Site of Special Scientific Interest, teeming with diverse plant and animal life. It boasts a density of species comparable to that found in a rainforest, making it a biodiversity hotspot. Fantastic views and good pathways make it an ideal spot for a run or hike.
