Lovely small church. We happened to visit when they were having a group lunch, and the vicar was lovely enough to offer us some of the fish soup they were all enjoying. We declined as we had packed lunches, but it was very generous of them. They welcomed us to take a look around while they continued their lunch.

Almost dry at the moment but watch out in the winter. I once saw a van stuck in the middle of the ford!

You can enjoy lovely views of Hanningfield Reservoir from this road on the south side. The reservoir is framed by beautiful woodlands and meadows, making it a favourite spot for walkers in the Essex area.

The pudding stone monument - a erratic boulder deposited in the Ice Age, erected by Navestock parish at the Millenium, makes an interesting and visible location for this Spin-off 2 / Spin-off 1-2-3 junction point.

The Parish Church of St. Nicholas, dating back to the 14th century, graces the village's High Street and commands a ridge with panoramic views of the River Crouch. The remarkable 15th-century tower, a distinctive landmark visible from afar, is attributed to King Henry V, believed to have been built in commemoration of his triumph at the Battle of Agincourt in France.

Any pub that has a Blackadder-themed sign automatically gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The Prince Regent is on the sign, so maybe the landlord is a Mr E. Blackadder Esq., Mr S. Baldrick is the cellar boy and the cook is Mrs Miggins (just don't order the Scarlet Pimpernel Sauce).
