The mountain bike tour leads from Villach through the Ossiacher Tauern mountains along secondary roads, cycle paths, and forest trails, offering many wonderful views of the lake and the Landskron Castle ruins. The tour is well signposted and only moderately challenging! From the Tauern Teich, you can head either towards Köstenberg or towards Lake Ossiach!

So for us, it was definitely not easy to reach, and even getting to the cross was impossible. I wouldn't call it easy for families with children unless you're into mountain goats. Not necessarily recommended for flatland hikers.

A challenging ascent by bike. If you prefer a more leisurely approach, you can drive almost to the shore.

This view awaits you directly at the exit of the Falkert-Steig

After the Sonntagstal valley, climb the Falkertscharte ridge before taking the final few meters to the Falkertspitz. From the ridge, you have a magnificent view of the Sonntagstal valley or, on the other side, the Hundsgraben ditch. Soak it up, enjoy.
