Re-established dew pond at Chantry Hill on the South Downs Way – credit SDNPA.

It is currently fenced off with goats grazing around it. The goats for sure are curious of visitors.

A historic, man-made lake in West Sussex, mentioned in the Domesday Book. It was stocked with carp in the 1960s by Donald Leney, and a number of these original fish are still present. It is a well-known fishing spot with a mix of carp, including the historic Leney fish and more recent additions.

Friendly pub with a great £5 coffee and pastry deal. Best to ring ahead to check it's on (especially in winter - they will order in special if you give them notice).

Has gone somewhat upmarket since my previous visit 10 years ago, but still has bar food that is good & satisfying. Nice pub, good cider, staff friendly and helpful with good service - a welcome respite.

The summit of Barpham Hill is the highest point on Angmering Park Estate at 465 feet (142 m). There are stunning views of the local area with the rolling South Downs to the north, the Arun Valley to the west, and the shimmering coastline to the south. A grassy bridleway and compact earth track runs over the summit, cutting through fields of grazing sheep. It's a fantastic section of open cycling, particularly at sunset.

Part of Angmering Park Estate, Angmering Woods are nestled between the towns of Arundel and Worthing just north of the A27. The area features a network of snaking woodland bridleways and is renowned for its dense swathes of bluebells which bloom here during April.
