This chapel is actually called the "Hirczy Chapel." But yes... it's also yellow :) The chapel was built in 1902 and has been a listed building since 2002. Right next to it, you'll find a place to rest, with tables, benches, and a vending machine. And a few meters further on, there's a self-service farm shop where you can buy, for example, very good local honey.

I walked past here along the road below. We'll definitely take a closer look at it again. It looks great from a distance.

We used to enjoy spending a family day at the thermal baths here. However, quite a bit has changed over the years. The "textile" and "textile-free" areas have been redesigned by the new management. The snack bar in the Schaffelbad is also no longer there in its old form. We liked it better before. But we'll definitely stop by again sometime and post an update here.

A truly stunningly beautiful facility. It's a treat to take a break here in the shade of the trees, especially during the hot season. But it's also certainly a perfect place to unwind and relax. Brilliant.

A beautiful parish church with an impressive interior. We were a little disappointed by the Lourdes Grotto. It's small compared to the church, located in the backyard—we expected more. But whatever, the church is definitely worth seeing.

A truly magnificent observation tower with magnificent panoramic views. We were here on a sunny day in autumn 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Right next to it is a small hut where you can purchase drinks. There are also plenty of places to sit and rest around the tower. A carillon at the base of the tower completes the experience.

Saint Anne is the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the grandmother of Jesus Christ—not attested in the biblical texts. She is mentioned, however, in apocryphal (i.e., not included in the canon of the Bible) writings, for example, in the so-called "Protoevangelium of James." There is no historically verified information about Anne's life, but numerous traditional stories exist, summarized, for example, in the medieval "Legenda Aurea" by the Dominican monk Jacobus de Voragine. Among other things, she is the patron saint of St. Anne's Church in Düren (North Rhine-Westphalia), where a piece of her skullcap is kept as a relic. In the church calendar, Saint Anne's feast day—together with her husband Joachim—is July 26th.
