The hut has a nice terrace and friendly service, the selection of hot dishes was rather modest (soups, meat dishes, sausages), but they are tasty 😋

For the last stretch to the summit, it's better to leave the bike behind, then you won't have to struggle unnecessarily. Even riding back is only fun for enduro enthusiasts, and avoiding hikers is almost impossible.

On April 25, 1869, four workers were killed while blasting rock at the Rote Mauer during the construction of the St. Valentin and Kastenreith railway line. In memory of the accident, the wife of the construction company had this chapel built between Losenstein and Reichraming. A memorable and very well-maintained site. Thanks to the Federal Railway Director in office in 1935 for commissioning its renovation! From here, you have a beautiful view of the Enns River.
