Reigate Priory Park was originally the grounds of Reigate Priory, which was founded in the 13th century. The town bought the grounds and priory buildings in the mid 1900s. The ridge like top of Park Hill is unforested and therefore offers amazing views over the surrounding lowlands.

Nestled by the River Mole, the Dolphin is a lovely country pub that serves traditional pub food and seasonal specials too. It's on the Greensand Way, a 108-mile (174 km) long-distance trail through Surrey and Kent. There's plenty else to explore in the surrounding countryside too, such as Betchworth Castle's ruins, the historic St Michael's Church and the ever-popular Box Hill.

Film fans might recognise this church from Four Weddings and a Funeral. It is the scene of the first wedding where Charles (Hugh Grant) and Carrie (Andie MacDowell) meet.

Brockham is a picturesque little village to the south of Box Hill. It is famous locally for its huge bonfire and firework display which takes over the whole village on Bonfire Night. If you are in the area at the beginning of November, it is well worth coming along to check it out.

Also known as Earlswood Lakes, there is a cafe and public toilets at Earlswood Common. A nice place to stop for a while on a bench overlooking the water in the company of the swans and ducks.
