We walked past here in September 2025 but sadly the waterfall was totally dry and not running even tho it had been a very rainy week. A lot of the vegetation around it has also been cut.

Considering the recent wet weather, this was dry and fenced off, totally pointless location

i used to carry my bike across here as a kid every weekend. a trip down memory lane.. so to say...

Tillingbourne Waterfall is a delightful little cascade on the River Tillingbourne. It's on the route of the Greensand Way, a 108-mile (174 km) long-distance trail that follows the Greensand Ridge across Surrey and Kent. The waterfall can also be easily visited on a hike to Leith Hill, which is just a short walk along the trail to the south. Can be dry during summer!

High water in the river means quite a lot of flow over the stones which makes it impassable in certain conditions. Thankfully there’s a footbridge near by when this occurs.

There has been a river crossing here since prehistoric times but the current stones date from after the Second World War. The previous stones were destroyed so that it couldn't be used as a river crossing in the event of an enemy invasion. Don't miss the photo opportunity.

A lovely little spot to stop and enjoy the stream as it runs past you. Great for either the start of a hike, or the end as it is near the car park. If it has recently rained, the stones may be hidden. You can cross at the bridge a few minutes further down the stream.

Magnificent road passing through fields and which offers you a view of the city. I crossed it in hot weather and it wasn't the best but it was still worth the detour and the climb is pretty good. hello gear 🤣
