The Anchor Inn at Seatown is a multi-award winning pub located right on the Jurassic Coast overlooking Seatown Beach. Winner of the Visit England’s Tourism Pub of the Year Award, a Taste of the West Gold Award and Golf at the Dorset Tourism Awards, The Anchor Inn has a reputation as one of the best pubs in the country. The pub is part of Palmer’s Brewery – the oldest thatched Brewery in the UK, just a few miles away in the town of Bridport, which has been supplying West Dorset since 1794. Local producers are a constant source of inspiration to the menu at the Anchor Inn and the chefs enjoy using the region’s exceptional fish, shellfish, game, farm meats and artisanal foods. The dog-friendly Anchor Inn is beautifully situated overlooking Seatown Beach and the Jurassic Coast and has a spacious beer garden on the cliff.

Beautiful stretch of road that you're rewarded with after climbing up from Wells. Can be very windy obviously, mostly flat.

One of the best climbs in the South West. Good road surface, nice rhythm to the gradients, one of the longest about and very quiet on traffic. Gorgeous rolling roads at the top also. Save your energy for the final stretch as it's the steepest part.

At the heart of the village, you'll find this lovely church, with its churchyard, of which the oldest parts are known to date back to the 12th century, in a Norman Romanesque style. During the Victorian era, it underwent significant restoration, so you can see signs of this period in its exterior appearance.

This is one of the main buildings in the town. Although it was built in 1786, right on the site where St Andrew's church used to stand, it wasn't until twenty years later that it was fully completed, with the addition of the clock and the cupola. It is a Grade I Listed Building.

The Town Mill Bakery is brilliant! The eat in or take away breakfast, brunch, lunch or cakes are amazing, and the coffee and tea options are great. It's a really fun communal atmosphere with huge tables to share and well-cooked food. Open 8:30 - 15:00 but closed Tue and Wed.

Set in the rolling hills of the Somerset and Dorset border. There are lots of pretty wildflowers and great views across the lovely blue waters, which attract a wide variety of butterflies such as Small Skipper and Marble White.

A great pub with excellent food and well-kept beer. A wonderful setting with a nice beer garden on the edge of the beach. Parking opposite (pay and display).
