이 초기 신석기 시대의 장방형 고분은 기원전 4천년경에 건설되었을 가능성이 높습니다. 지역 사회에 사회적 또는 종교적 역할을 했을 것으로 생각됩니다(교회와 약간 비슷함). Alfriston 반대편에는 길이가 절반인 다른 고분이 있습니다.

Amazing hidden frescos inside the church

The scenery here is top drawer, typical lush green South Downs with views extending down towards Alfriston. An undulating patchwork of green fields and trees stretches beautifully to the horizon.

Beautiful location and on a good day you have a good panoramic view over the surrounding South Downs countryside. There is also a decent size car park to walk over to Firle Beacon.
